Excellent opportunity to participate in a progressive county library system in upstate South Carolina (population 56,000) conveniently located between Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC. Position is governed by a nine-member board of trustees and has a main library, one branch library, a bookmobile, and an outreach services van. Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program and three years of experience in public library management, budget and financial planning, library technology, grant writing, and library advocacy. Applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong leadership and public relations skills. Applicant must also be eligible for professional certification from South Carolina State Library and have a valid driver’s license. Salary to be commensurate with experience; currently budgeted at $60,000 per year. Deadline to apply is April 30, 2023.
