Cherokee County Public Library, 201 S Rutherford St, Blacksburg, SC 29702, USAStory & Playtime: Adventure with us all summer long. Get your wiggles and giggles out at the library as we read new stories, move our bodies to music, engage with sensory toys, play with our parachute, construct cool crafts, and explore through interactive play. All supplies provided. This is a free event open to all ages.

Children: Blacksburg Pottery Re-Fit (Ages 6-18)

Cherokee County Public Library, 201 S Rutherford St, Blacksburg, SC 29702, USAPottery Re-Fit @ the Blacksburg Library: Our friends from the SC Department of Natural Resources Heritage Trust team will have attendees engage in a fun archaeology activity. The Pottery Re-Fit program/activity is designed to help kids learn about techniques used by archaeologists in the lab. Kids will decorate small ceramic pots (one per person) using markers, then "accidentally" drop them...Oops! Using glue, a brush, and puzzle power they reassemble their pots to take home. This program is for ages 6-18 years old, however, younger children can participate. The SCDNR team will provide all supplies for this hands-on activity for free. This activity is limited to 25 participants.
